In 2021, the Hindi-language film 'Haseen Dillruba' streamed on Netflix directly. Starring Taapsee Pannu as a housewife who enters into a discreet relationship with her tenant Vikrant Massey, the film was directed by Vinil Mathew. As per the streaming giant, the film emerged as the most-watched Hindi film on Netflix of that year, reaching top 10 in 22 countries.
The news is that a sequel to the film is ready. Titled 'Phir Aayi Hasseen Dillruba', it will stream on Netflix from August 9.
Directed by Jayprad Desai, the romantic thriller is written, once again, by Kanika Dhillon. Kanika is not in her form though. 'Dunki' and 'Raksha Bandhan', two of the big-ticket Hindi films she co-wrote in recent years, had mediocre content.
