'Kalki 2898 AD' was released in theatres today. As per a good chunk of Netizens, casting Vijay Deverakonda as Arjuna is the only wrong choice made by director Nag Ashwin.
"The way he mouths those few lines with urbane slang is totally off. He should have taken care of his delivery. His looks are apt, though," a social media user wrote. "Instead of whistling, the audience in the hall where I watched the movie were in splits during the cameo," a Netizen wrote. In contrast, the rest of the cameos worked for the audience.
VD's fans argue that it is tough to judge any choice when the cameo is not even a minute long. "The appearance is extremely brief. Hate has been spewed on VD for no reason. During the release of 'Family Star', there was organized trolling against him. Looks like the whole gang is back," a fan suggested.
After the release of 'Family Star' in April this year, VD's team lodged a cybercrime complaint against the "orchestrated" trolling against him.
