Ankita Lokhande of Bigg Boss 17 (Hindi) and 'Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi' fame has accused an unnamed southern producer of casting couch. When she went to his office to audition for a role (no year and film's name have been mentioned by her), the producer's aide openly told her to be ready to "compromise". The incident happened about 20 years ago.
"I gave an audition for a south film. I got a call to receive the sign amount. I was happy and told my mom that I would go to receive the sign amount. However, I was in two minds as to how did this happen so easily?," she has been quoted as saying by NDTV. She turned down the movie offer eventually, telling the producer's coordinator that she was there because of her talent.
Ankita added that she was only 19 at that time. The 39-year-old actress, who has been married to Vicky Jain, will soon be seen in 'Swatantra Veer Savarkar'.
