'Oppenheimer' is Christopher Nolan's one of the biggest movies ever. A biographical outing, the 2023 release features Cillian Murphy as Robert Oppenheimer, the American theoretical physicist. The film, as is known, is about the Father of the atomic bomb.
As per some Hollywood media reports, Nolan made something like Rs 600 Cr by wielding the megaphone for the biographical drama. He earned a share in the profits, reports say.
"Sources are suggesting that he earned $85 million but subtracting the amount he would pay to his agents and lawyers, it is 10 million dollars less. That is a staggering number and nearly unheard of in Hollywood except for the absolute top echelon of movie stars and filmmakers," reported IW.
The film hit the cinemas on July 21 last year. It needed to gross at least $400 million worldwide to make a profit. It made more than one billion dollars by the end of its run.
