'Manjummel Boys', the highest grosser in the history of Malayalam cinema (yes, it has long surpassed the collections of '2018'), will be released in Telugu on April 6. Mythri Movie Makers has joined hands with Sukumar Writings and Prime Show Entertainment for the same.
"The highest grossing Malayalam film - #ManjummelBoys is now coming to entertain the Telugu audience. Grand release worldwide on April 6th (sic)," wrote the makers, announcing the Telugu release of the critically acclaimed movie.
A survival thriller film written and directed by Chidambaram, the film stars Soubin Shahir, Sreenath Bhasi, and Balu Varghese.
Recently, 'Premalu' (also dubbed into Telugu from Malayalam) grossed a whopping Rs 15 Cr in the Telugu States. 'Manjummel Boys' is a bigger brand than 'Premalu'. So, it might earn about Rs 20 Cr. On the flip side, the Telugu release faces stiff competition from Vijay Deverakonda's 'Family Star'.
