How about a sequel to 'Venky'? That's what Sreenu Vaitla is talking about. In his latest interview, the 'Dookudu' maker said that he has been giving serious consideration to 'Venky 2' ever since 'Venky' was recently re-released in theatres.
"The re-release received a tremendous response in more than 55 theatres. With everyone saying 'Venky 2, Venky 2', I started giving a serious thought to the sequel. If it is made, it will be fronted by Ravi Teja," Vaitla said.
Vaitla added that the movie will be made with the sole intention of making the audience laugh. "If Ravi Teja and I reunite, the audience are going to expect nothing else but a comedy from us," Vaitla said.
It will be hard for Vaitla to do justice to the brand name of 'Venky'. For one, he is not in form. For another, even Ravi Teja's comic timing has lost its sheen. And, last but not the least, it is impossible to bring back the vintage Brahmanandam, given his age factor.
