There have been devotional electronic channels dedicated to sermons and 'pravachans' in multiple languages. How about a streaming platform that shows only religious content and nothing else? Hari Om, a newly-founded app, is coming as the answer. The app is going to showcase cultural and religious content. As per national media reports, it will be launched in June 2024.
The promoters of the app have readied as many as twenty mythological shows with cultural significance. They will be streamed simultaneously.
"Hari Om will feature long format and short format series, targeting senior citizens, children and young adults. The OTT platform will also offer bhajans in both video and audio formats. For children, there will be curated animated content on mythology," a report by Money Control says.
The app is owned by the founders of Ullu, the adult content platform, which is one of the most successful 18+ apps in India.
