Sai Dharam Tej: A Look Back at a Decadal Journey

It was on this day (November 14) in the year 2014 that Sai Dharam Tej made his acting debut. Ten years and multiple hits later, he fondly calls himself Sai Durgha Tej and is looking forward to a breathtaking new decade with the release of his 18th film. Directed by a debutant, the film is a period action thriller with mystical elements.

Lovingly described by the Mega fan base as the Supreme Hero, his debut film, 'Pilla Nuvvu Leni Jeevitham', was caught up in a stalemate. Despite a sputtering start, Sai Tej has been able to put the early setbacks behind him and march ahead with determination. 'Subrahmanyam For Sale' proved amply that he was a performer with ease, a dancer to look up to, and an actor who loved boy-next-door roles. Films like 'Chitralahari' have brought him closer to the family audience.

With 'BRO', he got to achieve something that is the dream of most medium-range heroes in Telugu cinema: sharing screen space with Power Star Pawan Kalyan. With 'Virupaksha', he proved that he was an actor who readily surrendered to the script.

In 2021, a road accident he met with could have proven disastrous. Thanks to the prayers of his loved ones and his fans, he recovered from the life-altering experience and bounced back. He returned a better person, urging everyone to use a helmet.

From charity work to espousing the cause of women's security, Sai Durgha Tej is both a philanthropist and a mini-activist. His upcoming movie, SDT18, is going to be a remarkable one, we hope.
