A zero FIR has been registered against choreographer Shaik Jani Basha, commonly known as Jani Master, following allegations of sexual assault by a 21-year-old female choreographer. The woman, whose name can't be revealed as per a code, reported the alleged assaults to the Raidurgam police in Hyderabad. She claimed the incidents occurred during their outdoor shoots.
At the time of writing, Jani Master didn't make any statement on the development.
Jani Master is no stranger to controversies. In the month of June, a small-time dancer named Satish filed a complaint against the choreographer at the Raidurgam police station, alleging that the latter had been "harassing him by preventing him from getting work in film shoots." Jani later refuted the allegations, informing the media that a parcel of land worth Rs 5 Cr was acquired for the Telugu Film and TV Dancers and Dance Directors Association (TFTDDA). He added that he had been making efforts to get health insurance for dancers with the help of the Ram Charan-Upasana Kamineni duo.
