Appearing on a recent podcast, music director Thaman advised men not to get married. He suggested that many women want to be independent and that's why they are not ready to adjust. He also referred to the rise in divorce rates.
"Right now, I don’t want anyone to get married. It’s become tough because the girls also, they want to be independent in life. They don’t want to be under (any) one. So, I think we lost kind of that...one kind of girl society," the most-happening composer said.
Women on social media have spoken out against Thaman for showing "independent" women as the real problem. "Divorces happen for a variety of reasons. At this point, I feel Thaman is unhappy that many wives are not ready to be obedient, unlike their mothers. Men hate to live with women who have a mind of their own," a social media user opined.
