Razakar, starring Bobby Simha, Vedhika, Anishka Tripathi, Prema, and Indraja in lead roles, is up for a world digital premiere on Aha Video from January 24. The makers of the film today held an event to announce the grand digital debut.

The film, laced with historical truths and research-oriented facts, is bankrolled by politician Gudur Narayana Reddy. "Throughout the making of this film, I received numerous threats, including threats to my life and my family. Despite this, I was not afraid and moved forward with producing the film. Razakar has garnered a 9.5 rating on IMDb, and I was honored at the Goa Film Festival," the producer stated.

Actress Indraja spoke about director Yata Satyanarayana's 10-year-long research for the film. "This movie is not intended to create division between Hindus and Muslims," she said, adding that the character of a Muslim journalist in the film is especially remarkable. Indraja has played the role of a gutsy woman named Veeranari Chakali Ailamma.

Actor Naga Mahesh (playing Rapaka Ramachandra Reddy, an authoritarian Deshmukh) reiterated that Razakar is the result of meticulous research. He urged everyone to watch the movie on Aha.

Director Yata Satyanarayana said that the Telugu film has also been dubbed into Hindi, Marathi, and other languages. He spoke of the accomplishments of Razakar in the festival circuit, saying that, out of 18 film festivals the makers had applied to, it was selected for screening in 15 of them. "We received offers from three OTT platforms, but Aha was the best choice, as it has 25 to 30 lakh Telugu subscribers. We are bringing the film to Aha for the Telugu audience to understand this important part of history," the filmmaker added.

The film was recognized as the Best Indian Debut at the IFFI held in Goa. Also, it received the Best Director nomination.

Representatives from 75 countries at the Goa Film Festival appreciated Razakar, and 72 countries attended its screening at the Jaipur Film Festival.
