A street vendor who was spotted by a YouTuber at a holy site during the ongoing Maha Kumbh Mela, the 16-year-old girl hails from the Khargone district of Madhya Pradesh. Days after her pictures and video clips went viral on social media platforms, she has bagged a small movie project.
Monalisa has signed a film titled The Diary of Manipur, written and directed by Sanoj Mishra. The film will go on the floors next month.
Monalisa recently said that she found it hard to sell her stuff after she became a social media celebrity, with pilgrims harassing her for selfies. In an interview, she was asked about her caste, upsetting many Netizens. Monalisa, earlier this week, stated that she would like to act in movies.
