Singer Kalpana, earlier this week, was hositalized after she allegedly attempted suicide. Her daughter made it clear that her mother didn't attempt to die by suicide.
Today, Kalpana reiterated her daughter's words. "I am 45. If I am able to pursue PhD and LLB at this age, it is only because of my husband's encouragement and support. For the past many years, I have been stressed. In order to fight sleeplessness, I started taking sleeping pills. The other day, an overdose of pills resulted in my falling unconscious. That's all there is to it," Kalpana, who looked absolutely healthy and normal, said in a video statement.
Kalpana's husband, Prasad, had alerted her neighbours in Hyderabad, ensuring she got proper treatment in time. Kalpana's children are based out of Kerala.
