Does Khaidi No 150 have reference to politics?
No it does not. The original film Kaththi did have references to real life scandals. But Khaidi No 150 has no such references.
Will you be joining any other political party?
That is not me. I will never join any other party. I joined politics to reach out to people and cinema also does that. Whatever suits a person at a particular time.
Is it true that you were not allowed to hold the pre-release function?
It is not true that we were not allowed to hold the function. In Vijayawada there is a rule that non-official events cannot be held in that ground. We wrapped the event at the earliest because fans go frenzy and it becomes difficult for the police to get the crowd under control.
Ram Charan’s career, comment?
I am glad for the kind of films that Ram Charan is doing. He doesn’t be a part of every film that has been offered to him. With ‘Govindudu Andarivadele’ is captivated the family audiences and with Dhruva he showcased his mature and subtle side.
Tell us about mega heroes?
Everyone of them is unique. They all have their own plus points. Mostly they are supportive and there is no competition in the family. I am glad and proud the way their career has shaped. They know that I am watching them all the time.
Will you be doing more films?
I am an artist and I would love to do that. Akkineni Nageshwar Rao gaaru once said that the desire in him was never-dying. An artist should be careful to see if the public have accepted him or not.
Are you feeling the pressure about Khaidi No 150?
Not really. Once the last copy is ready, then I don’t focus on the film. Records and collections don’t matter to me. I am aware of the fact that 50 days and 100 days run does not exist any more. It’s all about openings.
