'Dhagad Saamba' is headlined by Sampoornesh Babu, who says that the May 20th release is going to impress the audience without fail. In this interview, he talks about the film, his future projects, and more.
Directed by NR Reddy, the entertainer is produced by Praveena Creations.
As the title suggests, 'Daga Saamba' is an out-and-out comedy film with a touch of horror element. The protagonist's family loses all their wealth due to a conspiracy when the hero is a child. When he grows up, the hero mounts a scheme to get back the wealth from the villains.
I have done mostly comedies so far in my career. For the first time, I have played a character with dollops of serious characterization. Also, there is the horror element. This is the first time that such a mix can be seen in my film.
'Hrudaya Kaleyam', 'Kobbari Matta' and 'Singham 123' had spoofs. You won't find spoofs in 'Dhagad Saamba'.
The heroine has performed the dances superbly even though she is a newcomer. Her acting is engaging. I have also acted alongside Jyothi, Basha, and Apparao, among others.
There are four action sequences in the movie and each of them has been choreographed by a different action director. So, besides sentimental scenes, our film is rich in mass moments. It is a thoroughly gripping entertainer with twists and turns.
After 'Kobbari Matta', offers came my way from some notable banners. Due to some reasons, the projects got postponed. When director NR Reddy approached me with 'Dhagad Saamba', I accepted it because I loved the story.
The audience have encouraged me all along. I am confident that they are going to watch this story-driven film as well.
This one is my 7th film as a hero. Three more films are ready for a theatrical release. 'Brilliant Babu S/o Tenali', 'Dana Veera Soora Karna', 'Mr. Beggar' and a Tamil film are in the making.
