Midhunam is the name of the new movie ready for release this November. It is directed by the multifaceted genius artiste, Tanikella Bharani. The movie is an adaptation of a novel with the same name, written by Sree Ramana.
The name Midhunam, is an expression of the relation between a couple. It is the companionship of two souls. There would be highs and lows in every relationship, but it is the togetherness that is important, which makes the journey along, a worthy one. The novel was highly appreciated and widely read. Bharani, has added on his perspective of a relationship to make a full length movie.
Midhunam is a poetic expression of the relationship of an aged couple. It could be the story of our mother and father. Or, it could be our story, one day. Bharani shows the world through his characters Appadasu and Buchhi Lakshmi, that it is not necessary for an aged couple to live with their busy children, but can actually live a life on their own in the final stage of life, living their dreams. This phase is the time to re-kindle the relationship and re-energise their lives.
It is of choice, but not compulsion, that this couple live away from everyone. The title song sung by Yesudas is a highlight, which expresses the relationship between the ideal couple.
The movie is ready for release and the audio has already been appreciated from all the quarters.
