Youthful entertainer ‘Abbai Class Ammai Mass’ starring Varun Sandesh and Haripriya was released recently and running in theaters with positive talk. On this occasion director Koneti Sreenu organised a press meet on Thursday evening (August 8th) to congratulate his team and share his happiness. In the press meet the director claimed that he got inspired by Kareena Kapoor’s ‘Chameli’ and Julia Roberts’ ‘Pretty Woman’ to prepare the story of ‘Abbai Class Ammai Mass’.
According to him, only Varun Sandesh and Hari Priya could match the characters which he developed in his story. “I had Varun Sandesh in mind when I was writing the story. Similarly while I was thinking for an appropriate heroine for the mass girl’s role, Gopi (producer Bekkam Venu Gopal) suggested Haripriya’s name. We had a photo shoot with her and soon after that, I decided that she is the apt choice for the character and even felt that she can only do justice to the role. Both have surpassed our expectations and performed extremely well. Varun as young businessman gave an appealing performance and attracted the audience. Similarly, Hari Priya did a fabulous job by showing variations in her character as prostitute in 1st half and as lover in the second half,” he added.
Koneti Sreenu also showed off his inner talent by choreographing a dance for the song ‘Manasulona…’ in the film. He said, “Manasulona….’ song is key to the film and people are appreciating the choreography. To get the right feel to the situation, I choreographed it by myself. I’m, basically a dancer and have given quite a lot of dance shows right from the age of 8. I even earned a black belt in Martial Arts at the age of 8. Later I developed interest in films and shifted my base to Hyderabad and worked for several films direction department. Before turning into a full-fledged director, I worked as co-director for ‘Mem Vayasuku Vachcham’.”
"My main aim is to provide different conceptual movies from routine ones to the audiences. I prepared this script four years ago. Many have opined that Kasi Vishwanath’s character is a copy of Bollywood movie ‘Kahaani’. Similarly they also felt that the wedding scene is a copy of ‘Ishq’ movie. But nevertheless, I penned this script and registered four years ago even before ‘Kahaani’ and ‘Ishq’ got released", he clarifies regarding the comments on his script.
The director concluded the press conference with announcement of his next film as an action thriller with a prominent hero. The details of this project will be revealed soon.
