First Telugu 70MM ‘Simhasanam’ that features Superstar Krishna in the dual role, which was released on 21st March 1986, has completed 30 years from its release. Superstar Krishna also made his debut as director through this film which was produced under Padmalaya Studios. The film was simultaneously released in Hindi as well. It was turned out blockbuster and broke various records in Tollywood. Another interesting thing is the music by Bappi Lahari which is a sensation till today.
On this occasion of completion of the 30 years of this epic monumental film, Natasekhar Krishna cut the cake along with All India Krishna Mahesh Prajasena President Khadar Gori on Monday (March 21).
Khadar Gori said, “’Simhasanam’ is such a film that fans should be proud of. Hats off to Superstar Krishna who made his debut as director through this film which was made simultaneously in Telugu and Hindi. Another interesting thing is the music by Bappi Lahari which is a sensation till today.”
Mohammad Chishti, Kavali Kota Ramesh, Madhu and Ramana and some other fans were present at the occasion.
