‘Gulf’ Is The First Telugu Film To Use Arabic Song

Sunil Kumar Reddy's 'Gulf' has wrapped up the shooting part recently. Currently, editing works are going on. Director P Sunil Kumar Reddy is directing this different film on the backdrop of Gulf under Sravya Films banner. Yekkali Ravindra Babu and Ramani Kumar are jointly producing the film.

Updating the progress of the film, director Sunil Kumar Reddy said, “So far we have not seen this kind of films in Telugu. We have researched on the real incidents and readied the script. The shooting of the film took place at Ramoji Film City and in and around Hyderabad and in Gulf countries. We have picturised an Arabic situation song. This is the first Telugu film which used Arabic song. Abdullah Al-Salem, the popular singer and writer in Kuwait, has given wonderful lyrics and also sang the song which has music by Praveen Immadi. The recording of the Arabic song ‘Allah Ya Mahla Havana…’ took place at Franco-Arab Recording Studio. This is the first Telugu cinema song which was recorded in Arab country. The song was filmed on Digvijaya, Usman, Shan and 10 more dancers. Gulf choreographer Mohamad Imran has composed the dance. We have tried to introduce Arabic culture and Arabic traditional dances through this song.”

Producers said, “The film ‘Gulf’ is totally different from all other film like ‘Sonthvuru’, ‘Gangaputrulu’ and ‘Oka Romantic Crime Katha’ which Sunil Kumar Reddy has done so far in his career. Recently we have wrapped up fighting scenes which were canned at Ramoji Film City in Hyderabad under the composition of stunt master Dragon Prakash. Along with new artists, famous artists like Posani Krishna Murali, Thotapalli Madhu, Nagineedu, Theerdha, Jeeva and Bittiri Satti are also part of the cast. We are planning to release the audio in December and the film in January.”
