Rajamouli spent a whopping amount on Anushka Shetty to make her look thin onscreen. Sources say that the director spent Rs 2 Cr on slimming Anushka Shetty through VFX. This was done at the Shah Rukh Khan owned Red Chillies VFX Studio in Mumbai. They made a good job of making Anushka look beautiful. Sources say they used the similar technique that was used on Shah Rukh Khan in Fan.
Couple of scenes where slimming was required for Anushka was done at the Annapurna studios. Anushka Shetty really tried hard to lose weight which she had gained for the film Size Zero. But her success was zero. So Rajamouli who waited for her to lose weight, went ahead and shot the scenes. And with the help of VFX he slimmed her down and made her look ravishing.
