In the upcoming Aha original, Hometown, a middle-class family is at the centre of the drama. Rajeev Kanakala and Prajwal Yadma play a father and son. Starring Annie as the male lead's younger sister and Jhansi as his mother, the web series is directed by Srikanth Reddy Palle.

Produced by Naveen Medaram (who has previously produced the successful 90's – A Middle Class Biopic before) and Rajashekhar Medaram, this one has music by Suresh Bobbili. It starts streaming on Aha from April 4th.

Speaking on Thursday after the series' preview, Rajeev Kanakala said that the fifth episode comes with a twist. "There is a lot of intensity in store. The show is a nostalgic ride. The final episode will justify everything. I appreciate director Srikanth. Script-writing is no mean feat. Naveen Medaram has made this show without compromising on quality. The background score is rocking. The characterizations are grounded. And the lyrics bring out the essence of the characters," he added.

Producer Naveen Medaram said that Hometown will be as successful as 90's A Middle Class Biopic. "Cinematographer Devdeep Gandhi Kundu, music composer Suresh Bobbili, and my entire technical team provided immense support in making this a success," he added.

Director Srikanth said that the place of one's hometown can't be replaced in our hearts no matter where we live or aspire to settle down in. He added that the emotions captured in Hometown will surely resonate with the audience. He urged the audience not to miss the final episode. He thanked the entire cast and crew in his speech.

Actor Prajwal Yadma remarked that the director didn't treat him as a new actor. He thanked Rajeev Kanakala for encouraging him. "The phenomenal success of 90's - A Middle Class Biopic proved that, sometimes, the recognition afforded by a web series can be more than that afforded by a movie," he added.

Actress Annie stated that the project is a huge plus for her career. She thanked the director for giving her creative freedom. "The characters played by Prajwal, Sairam, and Anirudh are hilarious," she said.

Actress Shravya has played a Muslim character for the first time ever.
