Dynamic Lady Director B Jaya passed away on Thursday night due to heart stroke at a private hospital in Hyderabad. She had been suffering from ill health from last few days. Sources say that she breathed her last at 9:20 pm on Thursday. She was 54.
She did MA in English Literature and Psychology and has started off her career as a Journalist. She wrote columns for a Telugu daily Andhra Jyothi. She turned into film director with the film ‘Chantigadu’ in 2003. Later, B Jaya went on to direct Premikulu’, ‘Saval’, ‘Gundamma Gari Manavadu’, ‘Lovely’ and ‘Vaisakham’. She was one of the very few few successful lady directors in Telugu film industry.
Jaya’s husband BA Raju is a famous film Journalist and PRO. While Tollywood is struggling to digest the news that Nandamuri Hari Krishna passed away, the news about sudden death of senior PRO BA Raju’s wife B Jaya has come as yet another rude shock for Tollywood.
