A few members of BJP filed a police complaint against lyricist Ananta Sriram for using a bhajan song 'Digu Digu Digu Naaga' in an item song.
As per the sources, a complaint was filed by mahila morcha at Chillakur village, Nellore, Andhra Pradesh. Outraged with the lyrics used for an item song from Naga Shaurya and Ritu Varma starrer Varudu Kaavalenu, a few people on social media protested against the lyricist. As the music is scored by Thaman, the composer is also involved in the matter.
A few Twitter users also called for a campaign on social media to dislike song on YouTube, until the lyricist apologises for hurting the religious feelings. Also, they want the supporters to report the video so that YouTube takes it down as soon as possible.
