VV Vinayak is rumouredly going to remake the Tamil-language film 'Karnan' in Telugu. The original starred Dhanush in the lead.
The remake will feature Bellamkonda Sai Sreenivas as the protagonist. As per the buzz in the industry, the 'Adhurs' and 'Khaidi No. 150' director has been roped in to helm the remake. He is quite good at doing remakes and Bellamkonda is said to be excited about teaming up with Vinayak.
Vinayak is already directing the Hindi remake of 'Chatrapathi'. This one too stars Bellamkonda, who is reprising Prabhas. Recently, due to the rain in Hyderabad, the producer of the prestigious movie incurred a loss of Rs 3 Cr when a village set was washed out.
Since the 'Chatrapathi' remake is a highly prestigious project, Vinayak wants to put it on hold until the end of the pandemic. And in the meanwhile take up the 'Karnan' remake.
