'Vakalat' is the title of an upcoming movie to be produced by Allam Nagaraju, a lawyer by profession. Esha Raj Creations is debuting with the movie. The project was launched in Tirumala on the auspicious occasion of Diwali.
Speaking on the occasion, the producer said that he has studied the legal system and the laws in-depth as a professional. Nagaraju says that criminals have been gaming the system by exploiting the loopholes in the outdated laws. Drawing from his vast experience, the lawyer has written a well-meaning story, which forms the basis for 'Vakalat', a movie he is producing under the direction of Chandu of 'Tenth Class', 'Note Book' and 'Prema Oka Maikam' fame.
Having completed its pre-production works, the film will go on the floors soon. Chandu said that he has been on a sabbatical for many years. "When Nagaraju garu came to me with the story, I wanted to wield the megaphone because it's a meaningful subject," he added. "It's a gutsy subject that says that the legal system must be overhauled," he observed. The shooting will commence in the second week of December.
Late composer Chakri's brother Mahith Narayan is composing the music. With screenplay by Dileep, the film has Sangha Kumar, Prabhakar, Pattipaka Srinath Varma, and others in other roles.
