'Thiru' is the next title from actor Dhanush, who is known for his versatility. Co-starring 'Thank You' actress Raashi Khanna, 'Bheemla Nayak' actress Nithya Menen, Priya Bhavani Shankar, veteran Kollywood filmmaker Bharathiraja (as the hero's grandfather), 'Bimbisara' actor Prakash Raj (as the hero's father) and others, the film's trailer was released today.
Dhanush, whose 'SIR' is going to be released later this year, plays a food delivery executive in the musical family drama. Themes such as family emotions, friendship, and romance have been explored in good measure.
Anirudh, who is on a high after the super-successful 'Vikram', has composed the music.
The film is heading to theatres on Aug 18 in both Telugu and Tamil.
