There have been double and triple blockbusters. But what is rarer than those two categories are films that achieve break-even in just three or four days. Recently, 'Bimbisara' did it with elan. The film started giving profits to distributors right from the third day of its release.
And, just a few days later, the Telugu film industry produced another such box office hit. It's 'Karthikeya 2'. With minor exceptions, almost every stakeholder involved is going to make profits on the movie from Day 3 or Day 4.
The Chandoo Mondeti directorial, in just two days, made Rs 10.40 Cr (share) worldwide. On Monday, which is a public holiday, it is expected to mint another Rs 3.5 or even 4 Cr worldwide. And that will put the Nikhil Siddhartha-starrer in a rare league of its own!
