Akhil Akkineni's 'Agent' has zeroed in on its release date. The film will hit the cinemas on August 12, days before Independence Day. The spy thriller is laced with patriotic elements, something the makers of the film feel is attuned to the I-Day release timing.
Mollywood's megastar Mammootty recently began shooting for his portions. Anil Sunkara's AK Entertainments said that he has got a meaty role in the movie.
"The 'Most Eligible Bachelor' actor has got a never-seen-before fierce avatar as ‘The Wild One’ in the movie," the makers said.
The film has Sakshi Vaidya as the heroine. Director Surender Reddy is making it as a slick film. The story is by Vakkantham Vamsi. Art Direction is by Avinash Kolla. With stunts by Stun Shiva, the film has music by Hip Hop Thamizha and cinematography by Rasool Ellore.
