The movies of Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Akhil Akkineni are going to see a box-office clash on August 12 this year. While the date is still many months away and release dates are subject to changes, the news is quite juicy.
Samantha's 'Yashoda', a female-centric thriller that has been made in Telugu and Tamil, will be at loggerheads with 'Agent'. As is known, 'Agent' is one of the most expensive medium-range films being made in Tollywood. Directed by Surender Reddy, it is a spy actioner.
Since Sam is the estranged 'Kodalu' of the Akkineni family, the clash between the two films assumes significance.
Interestingly, a clash of this sort happened even during the best of times. Sam's 'U-Turn' and Naga Chaitanya's 'Sailaja Reddy Alludu' clashed at the box office on September 13, 2018 when the duo was still a couple.
