Robinhood nightmare: Hopes on Ajith, Sunny Deol to undo huge losses

Mythri Movie Makers won't be forgetting the bad experience of producing Robinhood anytime soon. Nithiin's movie has allegedly cost the banner Rs 70 Cr. The film's closing theatrical share is projected to be less than Rs 6.5 Cr. Digital and satellite rights haven't been great.

As per the buzz in the town, producers Y Ravi Shankar and Naveen Yerneni have incurred losses to the tune of Rs 35 Cr.

The banner had a blasting hit last year in the form of Allu Arjun's Pushpa 2: The Rule. The profits made by the banner were more than what anybody can estimate.

Mythri Movie Makers is now banking on two Summer releases to help it undo the Robinhood nightmare. Sunny Deol's Jaat and Ajith Kumar's Good Bad Ugly will hit the cinemas on April 10th. Recently, Y Ravi Shankar said that he expects GBU to become the biggest hit in Ajith's career. Jaat, the Hindi-language action entertainer, walks on a shaky ground. Its trailer is decent only by Telugu standards. The visuals and story feel like we are going to watch a variation of Daaku Maharaaj. The Tamil audience can accept any degree of mediocrity as long as the hero elevations/mass moments in Ajith and Vijay's movies are enjoyable. But the same can't be said about the Hindi audience. So, GBU has a better chance of providing relief to Mythri than Jaat.
