Usually, big stars don't commit to more than one project with any banner. They are always in huge demand and don't want to get tied to any banner in advance. Exceptions to this rule exist. Allu Arjun, for example, is doing back-to-back projects (read the 'Pushpa' films) with Mythri Movie Makers because 'Pushpa 2' is a sequel.
In a rare instance, Lyca Productions has managed to rope in a big star for two projects. The makers of spectacle movies like '2.0' and 'Ponniyin Selvan' today announced that they will be bankrolling two projects featuring Superstar Rajinikanth in the coming years.
Without revealing further details, they said that the projects will be launched on November 5 in Chennai.
Rajini is currently doing 'Jailer' with director Nelson. The film is produced by Kalanithi Maran. Anirudh is its music director. The action comedy will hit the cinemas in 2023.
