Now, Nandita has done poor films before. But what makes the latest choice unremarkable is that it is headlined by Siva Kantamaneni, a middle-aged actor who does vanity projects that nobody notices even in the Tollywood media, let alone the audience. For the unversed, 'Madhurapudi Gramam Ane Nenu' is his biggest film to date. You haven't heard about it, right? That's the whole point.
Nandita doing a film like 'Raghava Reddy' is shocking, given her talent. As recently as in November this year, she was seen in a notable film like 'Mangalavaarram'. Where is the need for her to spoil her image by doing useless films like 'Raghava Reddy' that hardly release in a handful of theatres?
In a recent interview, before the release of 'Hidimbha', Nandita said, "I have done small films, concept films, performance-oriented films, and experimental films more than commercial films. Stardom doesn't come to you just because you desire it. Hit or flop, I have always been busy." Well, choices like 'Raghava Reddy' will leave her with no option to do even small films in the future.
