'Slum Dog Husband' is a complete entertainer: Makers

'Slum Dog Husband' stars Sanjay Rao in the lead. The family comedy is slated to hit the cinemas on July 29. Co-starring Pranavi Manukonda, the film's pre-release event was held on Thursday.

Speaking on the occasion, guest and actor Sohel Ryan appreciated Mic Movies for making movies with budding artists like Sanjay Rao and himself. He mentioned the banner's previous movies (read 'George Reddy' and 'Pressure Cooker') on the occasion and wished director AR Sridhar all the best.

Composer Bheems Ceciroleo said that his songs for the movie have clicked. He added that producer Appireddy is a right-minded investor.

Sanjay Rao, the hero, thanked Mic Movies for encouraging new talents. "My parents and my wife have always encouraged me," he added.

Saptagiri, who will be seen as a funny lawyer in the comedy, said that his scenes with Brahmaji will leave the audience in splits.

Producer Venkat Annapareddy said that he has produced 'SDH' in association with his brother, Appireddy. He assured LOL moments in the movie. On his part, Appireddy spoke of his commitment to platform new directors. His banner has already introduced four newcomers. Heroine Pranavi Manukonda, who won a Nandi Award as a child artist previously, is the heroine of 'SDH'. The banner is planning to introduce ten more new directors should their July release become a hit.

'Uppena' director Buchi Babu Sana described Brahmaji as a good friend. He also celebrated 'Baby' heroine Vaishnavi Chaitanya, Pranavi and Sree Leela (although she grew up in the US), all of whom are Telugu girls. 'Virupaksha' maker Karthik Dandu was also present on the occasion. 'Waltair Veerayya' director Bobby Kolli appreciated director Sridhar, whom he called Puri Jagannadh's favourite.

Sree Leela, who attended the event as the chief guest, said that she heard about 'SDH' on the sets of 'Bhagavanth Kesari'. She wished Sanjay, who is Brahmaji's son, all the best. She advised new heroines to select the right sort of roles and movies.

The film's director described 'SDH' as a hilarious entertainer laced with good emotions. Heroine Pranavi promised full-on entertainment.
