Senior film journalist and movie analyst Dheeraj Appaji has been conferred with the Dasari Pratibha Puraskar at the ongoing Dasari Film Awards ceremony held at Prasad Lab, Hyderabad. Earlier this year, he was conferred with the Gidugu Rammurthy Pantulu Award for his contributions to the Telugu language as a publisher.
The event was held to mark the birth anniversary of late director Dr. Dasari Narayana Rao. It was graced by 'Chatrapathi' director VV Vinayak, senior producer C Kalyan, veteran filmmaker Tammareddy Bharadwaja, Film Federation President Anil Vallabhaneni, actor-politician Ali, TFDC Chairman Anil Kurmachalam, Dhavala Satyam, Relangi Narasimha Rao, Dr. Raghunandan (son-in-law of Dasari), Raja Vannem Reddy, senior writer Rajendra Kumar, among others.
Also present were 'Ranga Maarthanda' maker Krishna Vamsi, Srikanth, Dr. Brahmanandam, Mutyala Subbaiah, Bekkem Venugopal of Lucky Media, 'Balagam' producer Harshit Reddy, Vizag distributor Gauri Shankar, senior journo Prabhu, and others. Bhimavaram Talkies head Tummalapalli Ramasatyanarayana was also present.
