'Kumari Srimathi' is the title of an upcoming web series to be streamed on Amazon Prime Video from September 28 in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, and Malayalam. Its teaser was today plugged on social media by 'Mahanati' and 'Sarkaru Vaari Paata' damsel Keerthy Suresh.
Centered on Nithya Menen's titular character, the show has Gautami playing her mother. When Srimathi attends a social gathering, an old woman inquires about her marriage plans. Srimathi gives it back with a dekko. Creator Srinivas Avasarala and director Gomtesh Upadhye have tried to present the assertive nature of Nithya's character through the teaser.
The series, running into seven episodes of 40 minutes each, will have its trailer released on September 21.
'Kumari Srimathi' has got music by Staccato and Kamran. Mohana Krishna is its cinematographer. With production design by Latha Naidu, this one has 'Masooda' fame Thiruveer, 'Care Of Kancharapalem' fame Praneeta Patnaik and the talented VK Naresh in key roles.
