'Vedaa', the Hindi film to be released also in Telugu, stars John Abraham and Sharvari in lead roles. Produced by Zee Studios, Emmay Entertainment, and JA Entertainment, the trailer for the action-packed drama was released today. The film is slated to head to theatres on August 15.
Director Nikkhil Advani leaves his mark. Touted to be a story of resilience, the film's story captures the chequered journey of a young woman named Vedaa. A former soldier, who was Court Martialed for no mistake of his, becomes a catalyst in her life.
As per the cast and crew of the movie, the film's story will resonate with audiences and inspire them to stand up for what is right. Director Advani said that the film is thought-provoking. The film, written by Aseem Arrora, also features Abhishek Banerjee and Tamannaah Bhatia (in a special appearance). Umesh Kr Bansal, Monisha Advani, Madhu Bhojwani, and John Abraham, with Minnakshi Das as co-producer, are associated from the production side.
At about three minutes, the trailer begins with a Bhagavad Gita sloka. "Our film is a story of bravery, of the power of one. It is the story of an uprising, of challenging a draconian system. It is the story of a young woman who fought back, steered and championed by the one man she believed was her saviour, who became her weapon. It is the story of a man who found himself in helping Vedaa find justice," the makers said.
