Disney Plus Hotstar's upcoming Telugu web series is titled 'Harikatha - Sambhavami Yuge Yuge'. It is produced by TG Vishwa Prasad. The People Media Factory product will start premiering on December 13.
Starring Bigg Boss Telugu fame Divi Vadthya in a leading role, the revenge thriller with sacred elements features Rajendra Prasad in a theatrical role. Sriram aka Srikanth has a prominent part; he plays an investigator. Pujitha Ponnada, Mounika Reddy, Arjun Ambati, Ruchira Sadhineni, Shriya Kottam, and Usha Sri are playing different roles. Its pre-release event was held on Monday.
Speaking on the occasion, writer Suresh Jai thanked People Media Factory for the opportunity, adding that he had written the story keeping Rajendra Prasad in mind.
Executive Producer Shashikaran Narayana said that 'Harikatha' is a product of passion and dedication. He described the team behind the show as "fantastic".
Music director Suresh Bobbili described the series as a high-quality one that has been crafted beautifully. Cinematographer Vijay Ulaganath said that director Maggie has created a whole new world. Editor Junaid Siddiqui predicted that 'Harikatha' would widen Hotstar's audience base.
Actor MS Vikram said that 'Harikatha' is a divine story. Actor Gagan Vihari said that only Rajendra Prasad, who comes with a thorough understanding of mythology and dialects could have essayed the protagonist's role. Actress Usha Sri said that Eeramma is her character's name in the series. "Each character will be remembered by the viewers," she said.
Actress Divi said, "I am thrilled to have worked with them and been associated with Hotstar. 'Harikatha' has given us many wonderful memories."
Actor Sriram described People Media Factory as a powerhouse. He noted that Rangachari, Chamanti, and Eeramma will be remembered as powerfully etched characters in the show. "Harikatha has layers of devotional, action, crime, and drama, which will connect with every viewer," he added.
Rajendra Prasad said that 'Harikatha' is a series he owned with pride. Saying that many feel that 'Harikatha' deserves to be a theatrical release, the Nata Kireeti added, "I am happy to take on a role akin to that of ANR and NTR. In Harikatha, I will be seen as Rangachari, a character who tells Harikathas and chants the name of Hari throughout his life."
