New writer-director Harshiv Karthik has embarked on his journey in Telugu cinema to break new ground in terms of genres and content-driven experimentation. His upcoming film, titled 'Bahumukham', is an effort in that direction. The thriller drama's first look was unveiled today.
The caption 'Good, Bad & The Actor' signifies something layered. The male protagonist, played by Karthik himself, is depicted as a seemingly doubled-faced, two-dimensional character with a hidden motive. "One side of the face is painted blue with Vibhuti on the forehead. The other side is a picture in contrast. He portrays contrasting moods for a reason," the makers suggest.
On the face of it, the premise is instantly attention-grabbing. Tanveer, the male lead, is put in a detention centre as a child/teen. He grows up to be an aspiring actor. Destiny has it that he bumps into a psychotherapist named Disha. Laced with twists and turns, the film explores the psyche of Tanveer as he turns out to be a threat to those in his life.
With Swarnima Singh and Maria Martynova as the heroines, the film is coming from Crystal Mountain Productions. This seemingly meaty and substantial film was shot in locations across Atlanta, Macon, Canton, and the surroundings of Georgia, and the US.
Sricharan Pakala (music director who has done BGM), Luke Fletcher (cinematographer), Phani Kalyan (songs composer), Ramaswamy and Harshiv Karthik (dialogue writers), and Garry BH and Harshiv Karthik (editors) have worked on the movie, whose release date is yet to be made official.
