Anjali has been on a roll this year. 'Bahishkarana', her most recent outing, is a web series. The ZEE5 Original has fetched her praises for playing the role of a distressed prostitute with conviction.
She has faced questions about going bold for the show. While playing an author-backed character like Pushpa in the show was a pleasurable experience, doing intimate scenes was no cakewalk. Admittedly, the 'Geethanjali' and 'Game Changer' actress wasn’t comfortable initially playing bold scenes.
The intimate scenes in 'Bahishkarana' were a significant hurdle for her. "As a first-timer (in terms of doing bold scenes), I wasn't emotionally equipped to handle it. The experience was deeply draining, and I found myself overwhelmed with emotions after the shoot,” Anjali says.
“I also shot the steamy scenes with others present on the sets, the director made sure that the crew was limited and that I was comfortable,” Anjali adds.
Clearly, Anjali wasn't expecting the intense emotional response she had after filming the intimate scene in 'Bahishkarana'. It was her first time doing something so intimate, and it took a heavy toll on her.
