And God Himself resides in your womb," Amitabh Bachchan's Ashwatthama tells Deepika Padukone's character in the Release Trailer for ‘Kalki 2898 AD’. A dystopian epic sci-fi movie directed by Nag Ashwin, the film will be released in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada and English on June 27.
"If today ceases to exist, how can there be a tomorrow?" a dark character says, foreboding widespread destruction and the end of Kali Yuga. Prabhas' Bhairava is introduced as a bounty hunter looking for that game-altering shot at something. Kamal Haasan's evil character says that humans will never mend their ways no matter how many chances are given. A song wherein a voice cries out for help from God plays out in the background during battle sequences involving various characters. The story takes place in Kasi, the last city. The production design of this city is going to be the film's raison d'etre.
A minus with the Release Trailer is that we don't get to see much of Prabhas in action. He is with Bujji, inside Bujji and all, but we have seen all this in the main Trailer already.
