Remember Heera Rajagopal of Mani Ratnam's 'Thiruda Thiruda' fame? She also famously did the Telugu film 'Little Soldiers'. 'Aahvaanam', 'Aavida Maa Aavide', 'Anthahpuram', and 'Alludugaaru Vachcharu' are among her other Telugu releases.
She acted opposite Ajith Kumar in the 1996 film 'Kadhal Kottai'. At that time, Tamil media gossiped that Ajith fell in love with her with all sincerity. So much so that he started writing love letters to her.
It is rumoured that Heera rejected Ajith's proposal. The superstar later fell in love with Shalini on the sets of another film and eventually married her.
As for Heera, she stopped doing films in the late 1990s even though offers kept coming her way. As per Wikipedia, she "opted to quit the film industry in late 1999 citing she did not want to succumb to the inevitable pressures to play roles that did not appeal to her intellect sensibilities."
