'Matrudevobhava', coming with the caption 'O Amma Katha', is slated to head to theatres on February 18.
Directed by newcomer K Haranath Reddy, the movie is produced by Chodavarapu Venkateswara Rao of Sri Vasavi Movies. Senior actress Sudha has played the titular role. Starring Patanjali Srinivas and Amrutha Chowdhary as the lead pair, the movie has dialogues by Marudhuri Raja.
Announcing the release date today, the makers spoke about the drama. "The Censor works are over. We are confident about the movie. All performances are superb. Chammak Chandra, Gemini Suresh, Sri Harsha, Keerthy, Satya Sri and others have done really well, besides the main actors," the producers said.
Speaking on the occasion, Sudha said that she will always be proud of the film. "Haranath Reddy is a first-time director. And the producers, too, are newcomers. Everyone has given their best. This is a clean family entertainer," she added.
The producers said, "Patanjali Srinivas, Gemini Suresh and others have given their best." Director Haranath Reddy said, "This is a message-oriented film where the emotional scenes and performances will stand out."
The film has fights by Diamond Venkat. Editing is by Nandamuri Hari. Music is by Jaya Surya.
