Nag Ashwin has revealed that the plot of 'Kalki 2898 Ad' has been written to resemble a character from Amar Chithra Katha fighting someone from 'X-Men'. For the unversed, ACK is a mythological comic book.
Speaking to Deadline, the 'Mahanati' director said that he wants the audience to feel "strange" after watching the June 27th release. "I hope people will feel really strange when they leave the theater after watching 'Kalki'. I had a similar feeling after watching James Cameron's 'Avatar'. I made 'Kalki' for my 10-year-old self," he added in the interview.
This explains why Bujji, the custom-made futuristic vehicle, has been designed as Bhairava's (Prabhas) comic sidekick in the movie.
Co-starring Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, Kamal Haasan and others, the film's Trailer is awaited.
