In 'Lucky Baskhar', Dulquer Salmaan's character goes too far in his greed. A bank employee from a middle-class background, he aspires way too much, forgetting that greyness has its limits. Director Venky Atluri places the story in the Bombay of the 1980s.
Right from the word go, the Trailer conveys its intent about anchoring the story around the tenuous relationship between Baskhar and his doting wife, Sumathi, played by Meenakshi Chaudhary. The characters around Baskhar are either scared of his high-stakes gamble, or see him as a cautionary tale. Baskhar's gamble to strike filthy rich and his willingness to brazen it out puts him in the way of the underworld.
Also featuring Sachin Khedekar, Ramki, Surya Srinivas, Rithvik, Hyper Aadi and others, the film has 'Bubblegum' actress Manasa Choudhary in a glamorous role.
Nimish Ravi's cinematography could be an even bigger factor in shoring up the story than GV Prakash Kumar's background score. The film, produced by S Naga Vamsi and Sai Soujanya, will head to theatres on October 31.
