'The Greatest of All Time', starring Thalapathy Vijay in a dual role, was released today in theatres. Prominently, it is playing in Tamil and Telugu worldwide.
In the Telugu States, the film is reportedly off to a humiliating start. For an action drama made on a gargantuan budget, the occupancy levels are just 23%, an early BO report says.
It seems the Yuvan Shankar Raja-composed disastrous songs, made worse by a terrible de-aging look of Vijay, have played a crucial role in making the film look like damp squib. The film's trailer, too, was average.
Mythri Movie Makers owns the distribution rights to the film for the Telugu States. As per the word in the town, the distribution company bought the rights by paying Rs 22 Cr. Recently, they made losses on Ravi Teja's 'Mr. Bachchan' as well.
Directed by Venkat Prabhu and produced by AGS Entertainment, 'The Greatest of All Time' also stars Jayaram, Prashanth, Prabhu Deva and others.
