Nenekkadunna is the title of an upcoming thriller film directed by Madhav Kodad. Produced by Maruthi Shyam Prasad Reddy under the Ajagava Arts banner, this one features Mimoh Chakraborty, son of veteran Bollywood actor Mithun Chakraborty, in the lead. Mimoh is making his Telugu-language debut. Sasha Chettri, who shot to fame with the Airtel 4G ad years ago, is playing a journalist.
Ahead of the film's theatrical release on February 28, its pre-release event was held in Hyderabad.
Speaking on the occasion, former civil servant Gopinath Reddy (Retd. IAS), said that he was happy to be at the event. The guest spoke of the hard work put in by the film's hero, director and others. Producer Maruthi has withstood a lot to bring out this film. Nenekkadunna narrates how media professionals must stand up to their professional challenges. The film also assigns importance to the theme of female empowerment. "Everyone from the heroine to others has worked really hard," he added.
Tammareddy Bharadwaj said that Sasha Chettri is a national celeb. "I think Nenekkadunna chronicles the rise of a woman professional. Hero Mimoh's father, Mithun, is well-known to the Telugu audience. I wish the young actor all the best. I appreciate director Madhav for working with established artists," Tammareddy added.
BJP leader Shilpa Reddy said that the film's Teaser and Trailer prove that female empowerment is central to Nenekkadunna. "I appreciate the team for making this meaningful movie, which shows that a woman can do anything if she is determined. At a time when Vikshit Bharat has become a guiding force, we need honest journalism," she added.
Y Gangadhar (Retd. IAS) said, "This movie is coming out in theatres on February 28, after years of hard work and struggles. I have essayed a small part. Nenekkadunna stands out with its exciting premise."

In news channels, breaking news comes with a certain sound, but behind those news stories, many journalists work without worrying about their lives. There are journalists who work hard without expecting money or fearing threats. I strongly believe that this film will reflect the stories of all those journalists.
