Dominic and the Ladies' Purse is the title of Gautham Menon's latest movie. Although this is a Malayalam-language movie, interest among Telugu and Tamil movie buffs is present, given that Menon is an acclaimed filmmaker.

So, what do the film critics out there say about this mystery comedy thriller film starring Mammootty in the titular role? Here we tell you. The Hindu opined that the movie, centered on a private detective, is average. "Gautham Menon, in his first Malayalam outing, appears to be in a bit of a dilemma as to how to treat the star at the centre of his film, delivering an average detective movie," the reviewer stated, adding that, unfortunately, the film does not always live up to this early promise except in a few interesting patches.

Indian Express gave a negative review. "While Gautham Menon has mostly opted for simple scenarios, almost the entire film is handled in an unrefined manner, lacking a professional touch — almost as if the Mammootty-starrer's made by an amateur," the reviewer said in a scathing manner.

India Today opined that the film's hero saves the day somewhat. "It is actor Mammootty who holds this film with his effortless performance. His character and its quirks make Dominic an interesting character," the publication added.

Also starring Gokul Suresh, Lena, Siddique, Vijay Babu and Viji Venkatesh, Dominic and the Ladies' Purse has music by Darbuka Siva.
