Maniratnam chooses Sonam Kapoor for his next flick

Sonam Kapoor has finally agreed to do a south Indian film. Yes! The actress who was hesitating to do films in South India for quite some time has finally agreed to do Maniratnam’s romantic film. As per Chennai sources Maniratnam earlier had plans to introduce Kamal Haasan’s younger daughter Akshara Haasan and later some gossips saying that he approached Radha for introducing her second daughter Tulasi. But the latest we hear is that he had chosen Sonam Kapoor as the heroine for his film. It is also learnt that a photo shoot of Sonam will also be held by cinematographer Rajeev Menon soon. But the makers are yet to confirm about this. As mentioned in the past Mani will be introducing Karthik’s son Gautham as hero. The shooting will begin from January 2012 onwards.
