Gunasekhar historical streoscopic 3D film ‘Rudramadevi’ starring Anushka in title role resumed its 3rd shooting schedule on September 2nd. Gunasekhar is directing and producing this film on Guna Team Works banner. Briefing about the shooting progress he said, “We have so far completed 40% of ‘Rudramadevi’. The 3rd schedule began on Sept 2nd at Annapurna Seven Acres which will continue till 17th of this month. Kakathiya dynasty existed in Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh and Orissa. Therefore art director Thota Tarani designed the sets getting the look of 13th century. Right now we are shooting scenes on Anushka (Rudramadevi) in the set of Pakanadu (Prakasam district) and scenes on Rana (Prince Chalukya Veerabhadra) in the set of Nidavathyaprolu (Nidadhavolu). This apart scenes involving Ajay, Ravi Prakash, Shivaji Raja, Kadambari Kiran and thousands of junior artists as Pakanadu village people. Thota Tarani also designed a look alike set of under ground way from Orugallu fort to 1000 pillars temple. We are going to shoot scenes between Anushka and Baba Sehgal who is playing as Naga Deva. Similarly scenes on Prakash Raj (Shivayya) and Srikanth’s daughter Medhala (young Rudramadevi) on Diviseema region set will be shot in this 3rd schedule which will take place till 17th. The fourth schedule will again start on October 1st. Songs and scenes shot so far are extraordinary. ‘Rudramadevi’ is being made with high technical values to make it an ever green film in the history of Indian cinema.”
Maestro Ilayaraja is composing music, while Ajay Vincent handles the camera.
