During the release of Srimanthudu Mahesh Babu had announced that he would adopt his native village Burripalem in Guntur district in Andhra Pradesh. His plans were to turn this village into a model village. After this he adopted a village in Telangana as well.
Mahesh Babu got busy shooting his film Brahmotsavam, but did keep in his mind about these two adopted villages. He sent his wife Namratha and brother-in-law Galla Jayadeva to take a stock of things in these two villages.
The actor visited Burripalem and gave away cheques to the villagers for different programs. He also gave away the health cards provided by the Government to the people.
The villagers were jubilant after they saw Mahesh Babu and his concern for them. They have not stop celebrating even a day after the actor met them. They are hopeful that Mahesh Babu will do more for them.
Mahesh Babu’s upcoming film Brahmotsavam will release on the 20th of May. Directed by Srikanth Addala this film has Samantha, Kajal Agarwal and Praneetha Subhash as its leading women.
